The Monument to Jamaica's third prime minister and trade unionist Hugh Lawson Shearer, will be unveiled in a ceremony at National Heroes Park in Kingston. The monument was designed by architect Paul Thorbourne, whose design was selected as the winning entry in a design competition staged by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust (JNHT). The JNHT constructed the monument which sits in the section of National Heroes' Park designated for former Prime Ministers. |
