Danielle Williams produced a surprise gold medal in the IAAF World Championships 100m to deliver Jamaica’s ninth medal.
The 22-year-old Williams, ran a personal best 12.57 to beat a fast field.
German Cindy Roleder was second in a time of 12.58 seconds.
Williams lowered her personal best for the second time in two hours after posting a time of 12.58 in the semi-final.
In her second World Championship, Williams now joins Brigitte Foster Hylton as the only other Jamaican to win the event.
William’s older sister Shermaine finished seventh with a time of 12.95.
