Etana to headline Int'l Reggae Wine Festival

The third staging of the International Reggae Wine Festival is all set for this Friday and Saturday at the Secrets Sea Wind Club in Montego Bay, St James.

Reggae act Etana will be the main artiste performing on Friday, while rising star Ikaya and Ken Boothe will feature Saturday's final night of the two-day festival.

"The concept was created to include two entities - wine and reggae music. This is something to benefit Jamaica, to get people who love wine and also reggae to come here.

"We don't do dancehall, as this event is more for a mature audience in terms of quality. It was well received, especially by the tourist industry and various businesses in Montego Bay. The first two years, the event was held in Rose Hall, Montego Bay, and was well received. This year, we decided to move the event to Sea Wind Club because it offered a better structure. It meet the need of visitors," Daley pointed out.

The artiste and wine-drinking apart, there will be a fashion show and musical selections from veteran selector Señor Daley during the break. This year will also feature wine and food pairing arranged by five-star master chef Lewis Fitch from Mexico and wine sommelier expert Yanique Bradford from Miami in the United States.

"Jamaicans consume a lot of wine, so this event will serve to increase awareness about wine," the organiser explained.
