The Miss Jamaica Bikini Body Beautiful Competition and Olympic Homecoming Celebrations scheduled for August 26, at James Bond Beach, has been postponed to Sunday, September 16, due to heavy rainfall the north coast experienced between Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25.

In a release to media, the promoters assured that all presold tickets or tickets, to be purchased, are still valid.

"We regret any inconvenience that the postponement may have caused, however, the occurrences which led to the event being rescheduled were beyond our control," the release read.

Kickstarting the activities for the day will be a bikini contest in which, 13 contestants will vie for the coveted title of the first ever 'Miss Jamaica Bikini Body Beautiful'. Following this well a homecoming after-party in celebration of outstanding performances by the Jamaican athletes in London. The event will see performances by Aidonia, Tami Chynn, the magnificent Leetal from Manchester and fast-rising star Shakespeare from St Ann. Popular magician 'The Wizard' will also add to the excitement of the event which starts at 2 p.m.

Gates will open at noon, so patrons are urged to come out early in their numbers to party and celebrate.
