Bob Marley flick for Berlin festival |

A FILM on the late reggae icon Bob Marley will be shown at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival next month.

The film, directed by Kevin McDonald, includes the late reggae artiste's photographs and music. The website further stated that McDonald got special access to private family archives during the filming of the documentary. He also visited countries such as Uganda, Kenya, India and Japan to provide an overview of global impact of Marley's Work.
This documentary will be shown just in time as Jamaica celebrate Reggae Month.
Bob Marley rose to fame in the 1960s and was the lead singer for the ska, rocksteady and reggae band Bob Marley and the Wailers. To date, Marley is known one of the most famous performer worldwide and is credited with helping to spread both reggae music and the Rastafarian culture worldwide. Some of his hit songs include I Shot the Sheriff, No Woman No Cry, Could You Be Loved, Redemeption Song, One Love and Three Little Birds. His career was cut short after he lost the battle to cancer in 1981. The singer has many awards and honours to his name including the Rolling Stone Band of the Year in 1976, The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
