VCB wins women's 200m gold for Jamaica PDF Print E-mail

VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN won gold for Jamaica in the women's 200 metres, leaving Americans Carmelita Jeter in silver and reigning champion Allyson Felix in bronze at the IAAF world Champion in Daegu, South Korea today.

Campbell-Brown ran a strong bend and determinedly held off the challenge of Jeter to finish in a season's best time of 22.22 seconds. Jeter finished in 22.37 and Felix in 22.42.

 

Also running for Jamaica, Keron Stewart finished fifth in 22.70 and Sherone Simpson eighth in 23.17.
