Veronica Campbell-Brown wins silver in 100m PDF Print E-mail

Jamaica added to their medal tally after a superb run by Veronica Campbell-Brown in the 100m finals got her a silver medal in a time of 10.97.

Campbell-Brown who started in lane 8, ran a strong last 50 metres to power to the finish line to finish behind Carmelita Jeter of the USA.

Jeter won in a time of 10.90 seconds. Kelly- Ann Baptiste of Trinidad and Tobago won bronze in a time of 10.98 seconds.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who got a good start faded towards the end for fourth in a time of 10.99 seconds.

Kerron Stewart another Jamaica finished sixth in a time of 11.15 seconds.

Jamaica now has a gold and silver, after Yohan Blake won the men's 100m
