Martin Lawrence and Will Smith to Reunite for Bad Boys III |
It’s been 7 years since “Bad Boys II” and 16 since the original “Bad Boys,” and according to actor, comedian and director Martin Lawrence, there’s a “Bad Boys III” in the making.
The 1995 action comedy film directed by Michael Bay in his directional debut starred Lawrence and Smith as two police detectives.
Despite being panned by critics, it was a huge box office success for it had all of the requisite car chases and explosions and as such, spawned the 2003 sequel “Bad Boys II”.
Lawrence, one of America’s most popular actor/comedians, who is best known for his television sitcom “Martin,” where he played an electric range of characters, can also be seen in “Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son” with Brandon T. Jackson and the television sitcom “Love That Girl with Trinidadian actress Tatyana Ali.
“I am a guest star on there as Tatyana’s uncle. That is the first time I have being on TV since the Martin Show,” says Lawrence. “Jamie (Foxx) and myself are also working on a script now to put some characters from our respective TV shows together like Wanda and Sheneneh. We want to get the script together and make sure it’s tight. The storyline has to be there and studio has to agree to the script.”
“Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son” releases in theaters Feb. 18th
