Reggae's Bob Marley Makes It On To 'Glee' |
Late reggae legend Robert Nesta Marley made his 'debut' on the television show 'Glee,' this week.
Show producers incorporated Bob Marley`s classic `One Love/ People Get Ready,` into the show to drive home the theme of anti-bullying and pro-tolerance.
The song was originally released as `One Love` by Bob Marley`s band the Wailers on their 1965 album The Wailing Wailers. It later became `One Love/ People Get Ready` on the 1977 record Exodus, when Marley added lines from the Impressions track `People Get Ready` by Curtis Mayfield.
The song has also been dubbed `The Song of the Millennium` by the BBC while a new version of the song has been sung by Bob`s son Ziggy Marley, alongside the Gipsy Kings and the Boys` Choir of Harlem.
