Several Caribbean beauties are among those vying for this year`s coveted title of Miss Universe 2010.

Eight contestants from the Caribbean will compete in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. They include LaToya Woods of Trinidad and Tobago, Janeisha John of the USVI, Priscilla Lee of Aruba, Braneka Bassett  of the Bahamas,  Josefina Nunez of the British Virgin Islands, Eva Arias of the Dominican Republic,  Tamika Henry of Guyana, Sarodj Bertin  of Haiti  and Yendi Phillipps of Jamaica.

 

 

Rocker Bret Michaels and NBC`s Natalie Morales are set to host the pageant on August 23rd from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from 9-11 p.m. ET.
