Cliff, born James Chambers, is slated to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday, July 15th. The singer, musician and actor, known for hits like `You Can Get It If You Really Want` and `Reggae Nights,` recorded his appearance on the show on, July 12th.

His appearance came following a sold-out show at NYC`s Central Park SummerStage on Sunday. Cliff continues his most extensive North American tour in over 20 years with renditions of classics like `Sitting in Limbo` and a new song from his forthcoming new album `Existence,` `I Got To Move On.`

He is also well known for songs like `Many Rivers to Cross` from the soundtrack to The Harder They Come which helped popularize reggae across the world; and his covers of Cat Stevens` `Wild World` and Johnny Nash`s `I Can See Clearly Now` from the film Cool Runnings.

The Jamaican government under P.J. Patterson honoured Cliff on 20 October 2003, by awarding him The Order of Merit, the nation`s third-highest honour, in recognition of his contributions to the film and music of Jamaica. He, and Mervyn Morris are the only currently living figures from the arts to hold this distinction, and he is the only living musician to do so.

Outside of the reggae world, he is probably best known for his film appearance in The Harder They Come. Cliff was one of 5 performers inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
