Bombers attack Jamaican Consulate |
The Canadian police are investigating this morning’s attack on the Jamaican Consulate in Toronto.
The fire brigade was summoned and firefighters reportedly quickly extinguished the blaze, which damaged sections of the building and an office van.
The police found remnants of the two devices, which were used in the attack but no motive has yet been determined for the incident.
The building also houses the offices of the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaica Information Service.
The deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister Dr Ken Baugh has commended the police and the fire brigade for their response.
Dr Baugh said he hopes that the investigations will lead to the capture of the perpetrators.
