The CHASE Fund invites nominations for the Courtney Walsh Award for Excellence in the field of sports. So Do your turn, nominate an athlete for this prestigious award.
This award recognises exemplary qualities in Jamaican nationals between the ages of 18 and 40 who have represented our country at the senior level in the field of sports, and have done so in a manner that makes us all proud to be Jamaicans. The successful nominee will receive a cash award of $500,000 and the prestigious Courtney Walsh Trophy. CRITERIA: - Nominee must be a Jamaican national
- Must have represented Jamaica at a senior level in a sport recognised by the Jamaica Institute of Sports and Jamaica Olympic Association
- Must have consistently displayed outstanding ability in sports.
- Must have displayed a high level of integrity, national pride, dedication, decorum, humility and discipline, both on and off the field.
- Must have shown a high commitment to fairness and integrity
NOMINATION PROCEDURE: Please provide the following information: - Name of nominee
- Place of birth
- Date of birth
- Sport in which the individual is involved
- Record of outstanding performances
- Contact number
- Civic activities in which the nominee is involved
- Reason for nomination (Please provide fill information, as this will be the main basis for selection)
