The 23-year-old Olympic and world 100m and 200m champion opened his 2010 season with historic victory in the 400-m at the Camperdown Classic in Jamaica over the weekend.

Bolt not only won but on Saturday clocked a new meet record time of 45.86 seconds, shaving 0.49secs off his own previous best set in 2009.

`It was a good race - to run 45 seconds was a good sign. I never feel as good as I wanted. I guess I am getting there, I would say,` he commented after. `I just want to get my fitness up, I don`t think I am where I would want to be.`

Bolt meanwhile revealed there is a chance he will compete in the Commonwealth Games in India in October and of course he is set for the new Diamond League circuit is a 100-m race at the Adidas Grand Prix in New York on June 12th. It was at the NY Grand prix in 2008 that he first smashed the 100-m record then held by former record holder, fellow Jamaica, Asafa Powell .
