Bajan award-winning singer, Rihanna, is lending her voice to help the people of Haiti by trying her hand at a Bob Marley classic.
The singer this week used her performance on The Oprah Winfrey Show to perform Bob Marley`s `Redemption Song,` in order to raise money for Haiti that was struck by an earthquake on Tuesday, January 12, and again on Wednesday, Jan. 20th.
This song for me, growing up, anytime there was a difficult situation, I always listened to this song because it was so liberating. Even now I listen to it when my back is up against the wall. I feel like the people of Haiti need to hear something inspiring,` Rihanna told Winfrey.
The track is now available for download on iTunes and all profits will go to the victims in Haiti.
The `Umbrella` star is also slated to perform at tonight`s Hope for Haiti charity Telethon hosted by George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN reporter Anderson Cooper in Haiti
