| The Centre for Public Safety and Justice, the UWI, Mona hosts a one-day seminar on Garrison Communities. The seminar provides an in-depth examination of the origins, reproduction, structure, politics and cultural life of Garrison communities, and discusses the issue of dismantling them. The event takes place on Tuesday, February 26 at 9:30 am at the Graduate Lecture Theatre 3, (GLT3), Mona School of Business.The speakers will include Professor Anthony Harriott, Professor Emeritus Barry Chevannes, Horace Levy, Dr. Herbert Gayle, Assistant Commissioner of Police Novlet Grant and Dr. Mark Figueroa. |
